The Pahiatua Golf Club warmly welcomes new members. Our financial year commences 1st March - below are the options available for membership. The club was originally formed in 1904 and progressed through several sites until the move to Mangatainoka in 1968.

The old farmhouse was converted into the clubhouse and in 1974 the upstairs lounge was built.

Practice and Warm Up: Golfers can use the 2nd and 11th fairways for practice and for the short game the area adjacent to the carpark. The practice putting greens surround the clubhouse.

The Regent Upstairs is community owned and situated in the upstairs auditorium of the Pahiatua Regent Theatre.

We are staffed by a part time manager and a team of cinema loving volunteers. Built by Kerridge Theatres and opened on 23 February 1940 (to replace the previous building the King's Theatre built in 1897), and owned by the Pahiatua Repertory Society Inc since 1977, the Regent Upstairs Cinema is one of four cinemas operating in the Wairarapa/Tararua region.

The Regent Downstairs Theatre is the home of the Pahiatua Repertory Society which stages regular dramas, comedies, variety shows, one-act plays, an end of year production as well as a youth production. The Regent Cinema was a cinema in Brighton, England. It was opened by Provincial Cinematograph Theatres on 27 July 1921 and was one of that company's first super cinemas. It was demolished in 1974.

It is the only operating picture theatre in the Tararua District.

Proudly locally owned and serving the whole of the Tararua District, in addition to our weekly programmed sessions we are available for charity fundraiser events, private screenings and school or special interest-group sessions.

Pahiatua Repertory Society have a proud history of high calibre productions including Musicals, Plays, Children's productions and One Act Plays.

We are an amateur society and offer opportunities for Actors, Singers and Musicians, people interested in backstage craft including Properties, Costumes, Lighting Sound, Directing, Set Construction and Stage Crew, Musical Direction and Choreography. Society has a diverse range of dedicated members offering their collective skills. There are always opportunities for people with a wide range of skills to become involved, and in return, experience a fun loving and entertaining group of people. We welcome new members, both on-stage or in the all-important roles backstage or front of the house.

Pahiatua has six rivers that surround our town and we hold an annual trout fishing carnival held at Labour Weekend starting on the Sat during that weekend and finishing the following Sat at 12.30 with a prize giving in the afternoon. Registrations at the Pahiatua Information Centre.

The gym is operated by volunteers for the benefit of the community. Proceeds from the gym go back into the purchase or replacement of equipment.

The gym is open on weekdays from 5.30pm - 8.00pm (except for public holidays). Members who hold a key can train at any time of the day.

Opened in April 2004, becoming the major hub for sporting activities and events in the Tararua District. Facilities are available to host corporate, educational, social, sporting and cultural functions.

The Bush Multisport Trust operates the Park on behalf of the Tararua District Council, this partnership is key in supporting the annual operation. The Trust is very much a story of a small rural community punching well above its weight.
